If you walk up to almost any treadmill, elliptical, or stationary bike you will find a large button marked “Start” or “Quick Start.”
Hitting this button will begin a manual workout where you can dictate the speed, incline and/or resistance of the equipment manually.
From anecdotal reviews with our clientele at Fitness Experience, we find that even the most avid users default into “Quick Start.” Most users are not taking advantage of preset workouts on their equipment.
“Quick Start” is inviting and easy to use, however you may not be working out to your fullest potential. You may also fall into a redundant routine which will eventually result in plateaus and boredom. The manual quick programs will not let your equipment know your user profile for accurate calorie predictions, heart rate zones, and other results-based metrics.
Equipment manufacturers and retailers such as Fitness Experience are encouraging users to take advantage of the preset workouts on their equipment.
We believe they are valuable tools to reach your goals.
Precor, one of our premium product manufacturers, has designed a tool to make it as easy as possible for customers to take advantage of these workouts.
Precor treadmills, ellipticals or bikes with a “40 Series” home console have the ability to save up to 4 user profiles. With these user profiles the console will automatically select workouts based on your goals and fitness level.
These “suggested workouts” change daily and are available with the “Go” button, which is right beside “Quick Start.” With one touch of a button you begin one of 23 preset workouts based on your goals and needs. Now preset workouts are as easy to enter as “Quick Start.” Precor has designed the easiest console to use at its fullest potential.
At Fitness Experience we are striving to be result coaches as much as we are equipment consultants. Teaming up with like minded, premium manufacturers such as Precor have allowed us to achieve our roles as result coaches much more effectively.
We now have a product that is one button away from a new workout each day.
Using the “Go” button on your machine will break up monotony and help you reach your goals more effectively.
There are 2 treadmills we carry that utilize this technology - the Precor TRM243 and the Precor TRM445.
