Pull-up bars may be the quintessential bodyweight workout equipment. With one single bar, you can perform pull-ups, chin-ups, leg raises, L-sits, and muscle-ups, targeting a number of different muscles.
Want to work on your stabilizer muscles? Ready for a more intense core and shoulder workout? Gymnastic rings might be perfect for you. You can perform all kinds of exercises, including ring flys, bicep curls, ring dips, and ring rows; use them in conjunction with a pull-up bar to maximize the different types of exercises you can do!
Parallettes and push-up handles are for more than just mastering push-ups; they’re also extraordinary tools for dips, handstand push-ups, and L-sits. Our parallettes and push-up handles feature cushioned grips and sturdy construction to maximize the quality of your workouts.
Ab wheels are one of the most effective ways of training your abs. They create dynamic movement, in contrast to the static holds you’d use in a plank; this allows you to train your entire core (abs, glutes, obliques, and lower back muscles) with a single piece of equipment.
TRX is a brand of suspension trainer; suspension trainers allow you to perform an incredible number of different exercises, including squats, push-ups, rows, lunges, chest presses, curls, and more. By adjusting the trainer and your body angle, you can adjust the difficulty of your workout, making this one of the most all-in-one pieces of calisthenic training equipment on the market.
The bodyweight training equipment you’ll choose will depend on your level of experience, the space you have available, your budget, and your fitness goals. One of the best things about bodyweight training equipment is how affordable it is; just a few pieces of equipment can give you a total full-body workout. We have pieces of equipment that don’t even fall in the categories above, like weighted vests and step platforms; with the right equipment, you can develop incredible, functional strength.
Fitness Anywhere is the company that develops the TRX System, the most popular suspension training equipment on the market. For 20 years, Fitness Anywhere has been designing and manufacturing high-quality suspension training equipment. The company was founded by former Navy SEAL Randy Hetrick.
FitWay is a Canadian manufacturer of high-quality fitness equipment; it offers gymnastic rings, push-up handles, ab wheels, chin-up bars, weighted vests, and more.
Bodyweight training makes fitness accessible for more people. The equipment is affordable, you can perform bodyweight exercises in smaller spaces, and it’s incredibly good for your health. When you bodyweight train, you can see improvements in:
Bodyweight exercises are also functional - they use more muscles at once, and they’re better at emulating real movements. There are advantages and disadvantages to that (isolation exercises have their place), but the simple fact is this: Bodyweight exercises are for everyone.
Ready to achieve your fitness goals with the natural resistance provided by your own bodyweight? We’d love to see you at any of our showrooms, where you can try our equipment. Don’t want to visit in person? Don’t worry! You can shop online. We also deliver throughout Canada.

Absolutely. Looking for a heavy, muscular build? Bodyweight exercises may be somewhat less effective than weight training, at first glance. You can, however, build more muscle by using a weight vest or other weighted equipment - or even by holding weights while you perform the exercises. Increasing the number of repetitions and using more advanced variations of exercises can also help you build muscle.
How big is your body? That’s about the amount of space you need; it’s one of the things that makes bodyweight training so accessible. Have a doorframe? You can put up a pull-up bar. Have a space on the floor that’s as long and wide as your body lying down? Grab the parallettes and start doing push-ups. It’s the least space-intensive kind of workout you can do.
A pull-up bar and parallettes are typically all you need to start; you can also add in resistance bands to modify your exercises, making them easier as you begin and more challenging (or at least more varied) as you grow in your practice.
